Words: I wasn't really planning on going. Honest. But when I saw Buddy's picture from the day before (and heard about his session), I had to go. Just idyllic dhlh.

So I took off a couple hours in the morning and headed to Town. When I got there, I found… smaller waves. Don't get me wrong, it was still nice to be out there on a work day. Nice little waves came in on occasion, a little peaky and weak, but still fun. However, my expectations were just a little higher--should've known better than to set myself up for disappointment.

The shortboard was fun. I tried pushing it around a little bit more. Wiped out pretty comically, but at least I'm learning my boundaries and trying to go a little beyond. Session ended with a wave drought where I had to paddle in to get to work.

Oh well. Buddy's picture was too tantalizing.
