I'm happy I was patient

Swell: Rising west
Surf: 3-6' Haw'n

Words: Supposed to have a swell on Sunday, but it never materialized. Decided to save my surf points and instead chose to catch a few hours in the morning before work. I was the lone sponger out early into a hazy lineup.

I scored! Although it was a westerly swell, many waves were wrapping in from the north. The lefts were lining up really nicely, although there were some cleanup sets that plowed the lineup.

I caught some fun barrels. Two stood out--one left and one right. Didn't make either, but I had the vision on both for a long time before getting all hazed out and shut down. So stoked!

The rights actually were really good, but you had the stress of having to hustle back out before getting closed out on.

Absolutely made the right decision to wait. Went to work with a big grin on my face.
